This is the personal website of Nikos Detsikas, a computer enthusiast, with a genuine interest in software and its applications towards implementing elegant solutions to real world problems.

The site title, “peek and poke“, comes from the two legendary BASIC language commands, from the early days of home computers. Here is the wikipedia link. To me at least, they stand as one of the first symbols for computer programming (and a bit of hacking perhaps 🙂 ).

Peek and poke was also a column of a legendary Greek computer magazine of that time, called Pixel , of which I was extremely fond, like so many other kids.

In this blog, I am sharing solutions to programming related problems that I have faced and thoughts about computing and its applications in general.

Any well intended feeback is welcome.
